Why Use It

This thinklet is designed as a quick and simple way to prioritize alternatives that are easy to accomplish and have high value.

How to Use It

Use the following matrix to rate each of your solution alternatives. Add your own criteria as needed.

Prioritization Matrix

	Low Value (3 points)	Medium Value (5 points)	High Value (7 points)	Points
1: Solves the problem and accomplishes the desired goal	Solves 50% or less of the problem	Solves 50 -75% of the problem	Solves more the 90% of the problem
2: Difficulty to implement	Hard Less than 75% probability of successful implementation	Moderate 75 – 90% probability of successful implementation	Easy 90% or more probability of successful implementation
3: Add your own Criteria	Low	Medium	High
				Total points

Example: Alternative A had a medium value (5 pts) for solving the problem; Low value (1 pt) for difficulty to implement; and High value (7 pts) for your criteria. Total points for alternative A is 13 points.
